A California native who was born in Southern California and raised in Roseville, Jay now calls Granite Bay his Home. He graduated from Oakmont High School before earning a bachelor's degree in business with a focus on logistics management from the University of Nevada, Reno.
After more than four years managing sales for an automotive publisher in Southern California, Jay (a self-described “car guy”) and his wife, Christina, decided it was time to improve their quality of life. Naturally, this meant a move back to Roseville, where they could be near family so they could start a family of their own. Their daughter Eliza was born soon after in 2004 and their son Calvin was born a few years later in 2007.
By 2004, Jay realized that he was ready for a change in his career and decided to transfer his people and service skills to a Real Estate business. The only things Jay likes more than cars are houses, so it made complete sense. Jay knew that there would be lots of competition and that he would have to be exceptional to be successful. Failure was not an option, as he had a family at home depending on his success. He knew he had to give the best service to build the relationships needed to make it in this business.
“Every time someone entrusts me to help them sell or buy a home, I consider that a blessing from God,” says Jay. “After more than 16 years in this business, I knew it was time to amplify things and offer even more to clients and the community.”

Niels built, from scratch, a successful apparel company called " Puppies Make Me Happy" , based around dog lovers; the clothing line became a favorite of many celebrities and animal enthusiasts all over the world. When Niels met his now wife Stephanie he knew it was time to relocate back home to Sacramento to be with Stephanie and to potentially start a family so he decided to sell “Puppies Make Me Happy” and start his career in Real Estate.

Niels grew up in Fair Oaks, CA, and attended Jesuit High School before he attended and graduated from Arizona State University's W.P Carey School of Business, majoring in Marketing. After graduating fro ASU Niels worked in numerous marketing positions and then built “Puppies Make Me Happy”. One other thing in life that makes Niels as happy as puppies are houses. Niels said… “ I really love all things related to housing.
